Why I made the right choice&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Taekwondo<\/h1>\n<pre>There are only so many things in life you can claim, with a 100%\r\ncertainty, without doubt or regret that you made the right choice.\r\nFor me, Taekwondo was one such decision.  I started Taekwondo before\r\nmy HSC exams in 2004 to help me improve my focus for my studies, to\r\nimprove my health and energy levels, and also develop confidence in my\r\nwellbeing.  It also seemed like something really enjoyable.\r\n\r\nWhen I first came to watch <a href=\"http:\/\/bjtkd.com.au\">Eastern Suburbs Taekwondo<\/a>, I was\r\nimmediately impressed by the safe and friendly learning environment,\r\nbut the constant motivation to be better, and adherence to the\r\nprinciples and philosophy of taekwondo: courtesy, integrity, modesty,\r\nperseverence, self control and indominatable spirit.  I wanted to make\r\nthat a part of my life, and have done so ever since.\r\n\r\nI found that taekwondo really complimented an academically rigorous\r\nlifestyle, and it contributed greatly to my achievements in that area.\r\n I trained consistently and regularly without compromise throughout\r\nthe 5 years of my university career and graduated with distinction and\r\nwon academic prizes.  I found that if I worked my education and\r\nactivities around taekwondo, and made the principles a part of my\r\nlife, I developed true success, resilience and insight into my studies\r\nand other aspects of my life.\r\n\r\nNow a qualified legal professional, I remain as dedicated to Taekwondo\r\nas I was the day I started. As it served me well in high school and\r\nuniversity, I find it serves me extremely well in my professional\r\nendeavours. I attribute a lot of my success to the practice of\r\nTaekwondo and the internalisation of the philosophies.\r\n\r\nThere are few things you can say you truly dedicate your life to, and\r\nfor me, Taekwondo is one of those things.
